Hey everyone! It’s been a long first
week here at the MTC I have. I’ve been running around like my hair is on fire
for 16 hours a day, but by Sunday I’ve gotten the hang of things. It’s true
what they say about being hard but it’s so worth it.
I got an AWESOME sister companion,
Sister Breakall. She and I are so alike and we get along so well. She is from
Montana and loves to dirt bike and fish. Cool thing is her dad is a
taxidermist. She and I are the only girls we know in the MTC going to New Mexico
Farmington mission. We have a theory we were called because we are both tough girls
(we both put that we hunt fish camp ect… on our mission papers :p). I did find
one weakness of hers.... mice! I was casually telling her that I had seen a
mouse run down the hall when suddenly she climbed on the nearest chair and
began to beg that I was only kidding XD.
My district is probably the best one
in the whole MTC in my opinion. I love each and every one of them. They all
have their own strengthens and personality's. We have an Elder from New
Zealand. He sounds a lot like the lizard from the insurance commercials. Half
of the district is going to the New Mexico Farmington mission, the other half
to Canada Calgary. We have become so close. The Elders had an opportunity to
give a blessing to one of the sick sisters for the first time. That was a
tender moment.
The food is good and lots of it. I
can see how some people can gain weight. I found a Book of Mormon at the MTC
store written in Navajo. A sister in my Zone is from Farmington New Mexico. She
is Navajo. She is so humble and kind.
I got to go to into the Provo temple
today!
I can’t seem to send pics quite yet,
but I’m working on it.
I’ve learned more in this past week
then I would in months. I know that without the help of my Heavenly Father I
would not be able to do that.
I really appreciate it when I get
emails from you guys; I get so excited seeing my inbox filled with emails!
Write ya next week.
Love, Sister Kimberling
